SANS.edu undergraduate programs are designed for students and career changers of all ages who want to break into cybersecurity, as well as cyber professionals without a bachelor’s degree seeking career advancement. Follow the steps below to apply.

Cybersecurity Fundamentals Certificate (CSF)

Gain the skills and confidence to pursue our more technical upper division undergraduate programs.

  • Requires 12 prior credits
  • Earn 1 GIAC Certification
  • Earn 12 credits

Beginner to AdvancedUndergraduate Certificate

Applied Cybersecurity Certificate (ACS)

Prepare to launch a high-paying cybersecurity career at any age with just four hands-on courses.

  • Requires 24 prior credits
  • Earn 4 GIAC Certifications
  • Earn 12 credits
  • 10 months
Beginner to AdvancedBachelor's Degree

Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Cybersecurity (BACS)

Transfer your college credits to SANS.edu and become one of the most job-ready candidates in cybersecurity.

  • Requires 70 prior credits
  • Earn 9 GIAC Certifications
  • Earn 50 credits at SANS.edu
  • 2 years

Need Credits? Here Are Options.

If you don’t have the required prior credits to start one of our undergraduate programs, don’t worry. You can earn them through several affordable options beyond community colleges or universities.

  • Take low-cost Sophia Learning courses to earn general education credits 100% online. Through Sophia, you can complete some or all of your required transfer credits. Learn more.
  • Earn CLEP credits by testing out of subjects you already know. Learn more.
  • Submit AP exam scores for eligible credit. Learn more.

Next Steps for Admitted Students

If you are admitted or provisionally admitted, you will receive a formal Offer of Admission and be asked to confirm your enrollment at the SANS Technology Institute.

New Student Orientation

We'll provide instructions for attending the mandatory New Student Orientation (NSO), where you’ll be introduced to our programs, resources and communications tools. You’ll also meet your student advisor, who will discuss your goals and give you personalized support throughout your studies at SANS.edu.

You'll need to complete New Student Orientation before you can register for your first course.
